Old Town. Girls rules this part of Basin City, according to the Truce they've got worked out with the police force. Cops dosen't enter Old Town, without a Very good reason, but if they enter, the girls take care of them. Maybe they blow their car, maybe they chase them outta there, nude. But they never kill a cop. And the police force get its share from the money the girls earn. That's the Truce. And nothing but the Truce.
For some to unknown reason, the Mob -the Wallenquist gangsters - want the Truce to explode into atoms, and they try hard to make it so.
The first Roark in Basin City, in the middle 19th century, saw the town decay, and decided to do something about it. He bought luxoury sleepers from France, and then the city was blooming again.

| Kadie's Club Pecos
Kadie's Club Pecos is a smoky country bar, with Real music, the old stuff. Tammy, Conway and Merle, before they got lousy. Here lovely Nancy Callahan is the star. A really bright one. Nancy does her thing, while Shellie's running around and serving the guests ( who are drewling, of course; Nancy's on stage ). Kadie is standing in the bar, washing some glasses or giving out drinks. home to the rich and powerful of Basin City. This suburb lies outside the city proper, a half an hour drive uphill. A university of some sort is also located there, and the entire area is patrolled by armed employees of its wealthy inhabitants.

| Santa Yolanda Tar Pits |
| The Pits
An abandoned amusement park of sorts outside the city, where several tar pits are located and dinosaur bones were excavated at some time. After a 'big-budget dinosaur movie' caused a sensation, the county put up concrete statues of dinosaurs there to draw crowds. However, after an old lady fell through a railing into one of the pits and had a heart attack, the place was shut down indefinitely. They are frequently used as a place to dump things that people don't want found; high-schoolers also tend to sneak in there a lot.
